The Wessington Springs Recreational Center provides the community with a new basketball/volleyball gymnasium, concession stand, locker rooms, weight lifting room, restrooms and storage area. This project was for the City of Wessington Springs and is attached to the existing Elementary School. C. Eagle Construction constructed the 15,000 Square Foot Pre-Engineered Building within 17 months.
The Gymnasium was constructed on Cast-In-Place Piers, Grade Beam Footing and Pre-Cast Core Floor Substructure. The Pre-Engineering Building was manufactured by Behlen Building Systems. The project also included modifying the existing boiler system, HVAC and electrical to accommodate the new gymnasium. Other aspects of the project included installing a new gymnasium hard wood floor, bleachers, ceiling suspended basketball hoops, concessions stand equipment, and showers in the locker rooms.
